“Wrong will be made right when Aslan comes in sight, at the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more. When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death, and when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.”

“The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” -C.S. Lewis

The wardrobe door opens and instantly we as readers are transferred to Narnia along with Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. We feel the evil captured by the White Witch and the heroic salvation that comes in the form of a lion called Aslan.

C.S. Lewis has a way of grabbing us by the hand and taking us on the adventure as we anxiously flip through the pages following along on his marvelous adventures.

This type of writing is what living books are all about. They teach us so much more than facts and dates. These types of writings engage our senses and allow us to almost taste, touch, see, and feel what we are reading. It enables us to develop relationships with these characters that, in the end, we have to say goodbye to.

We witness virtuous character and endearing qualities that encourage us to emulate them. These books are the building blocks and the foundation of The Peaceful Press curriculums and we invite you and your family to adventure with us!

Whether you are adventuring with the Ingalls family across the prairie through our American History curriculum, traveling the world with The Precious People, studying European history while adventuring with the Pevensie children there is so much to glean and so many memories to make as a family tucked inside the pages of these learning years. Even with your littlest learners, there is so much adventure to be found in the preschool and kindergarten years with the equally amazing book lists that are included in our preschool curriculum and nature guides.
