Mothering by the Book

I've written before about how fear stole so much joy and connection from my family and sabotaged my motherhood ideals.

But I found hope for my fearful, controlling behavior through the books I was reading aloud to my children. Books like Cheaper by the Dozen, The Endurance, and Little House on the Prairie (the same books you are reading to your children with The Peaceful Press) helped me overcome as I observed how my literary heroes lived.

With each of these books, I observed practical applications that helped loosen the grip of fear in my life as a homeschool mom.

  1. Writing in a journal helped me sort through my feelings and let go of fear.

  2. Developing good habits helped me keep moving forward even when fear was pressing in (our Chore and Routine Pack can help with this)

  3. Learning to be thankful for my circumstances helped me let go of the fear of not being enough.

  4. Defining my values as a mom helped me let go of the fear of not doing enough. (Get a free Peaceful Life Planner and define your values when you order Mothering by the Book through this link)

  5. And learning to practice active forgiveness helped me overcome my fear of failure.

Are you also dealing with fear that is stealing the joy of motherhood and homeschooling? My book can help. You can read it as a book club, personal study or just fly through it, enjoying the vulnerable stories and insights.

You can read what other moms are saying about it here, (or leave your own review) and when you enter your order number at this link, you will get access to some wonderful resources.
