Picture Books to Fill Your Christmas Book Basket
It seems as if with the flip of the calendar from October to November the race is on to decorate, shop for gifts, make menus and cookies, and to plan all of the things. While it is the season to begin thinking about and preparing for the holidays we want to help you to have a peaceful and seamless transition into this season so that you can spend your time doing what is most important, spending time with those that you love.
If you want to reserve these titles from the library, which tend to be popular, and prepare before the holiday season gets busy the time is upon us to begin those preparations.
Think of this book list as your first step to a peaceful holiday season.
In our very first Christmas Guide we put together a list of some of the very best Christmas picture books, tied them together with baking, crafts, and fun, and sealed the deal with the simple magic that is encouraging families to connect with one another during this often busy season.
In our second Christmas Guide we share more beloved Christmas books. These books take you on a journey through a prairie Christmas, a nature Christmas, a European Christmas, and a Christmas around the world. These correspond with our American history curriculum, The Playful Pioneers, Kindergarten curriculum, Nourishing Nature, European History Curriculum, The Kind Kingdom, and our World History Curriculum, The Precious People!
We believe in families and their role in children's lives as foundational and irreplaceable. The real "Christmas magic" is small moments where we choose to love well. Usually these are the moments no one else ever knows about or applauds us for, but in our children's hearts and minds, they make the season of Christmas something truly special.
Will you be joining us as we read through some of our Christmas favorites? Which books would you add as "must-reads" this time of year?
